Hi everybody, last august I bought my dream Opel for 500 euros here in Portugal, and now I'm going to rebuild it.

He had a very rough life, but now he's going to get all good stuff.

He even raced in illegal dirt rallys.

Don't forget that this is not a restoration, but a rebuild done my way by me

This is how he arrived:

How should I repair this dash?

Now that it does not have windows it must stay covered:

Good luck with your project, looks like you have got a lot of work there, but at least you have started it and it's coming on well.

You should get alot of help from the A series guys on here.

Good heavens! And I thought mine were a challenge.[:0]

You're a brave man but it looks like you're really getting stuck into it so good luck.[8D]

Cheers,

Joe.

Hi!

Great work, it took me a week to restore my Rostyle wheels (5) and now it's 3 years on and they are still ok. On the lookout for some 15" minilites though.

Do you have a passenger side door?

Thats correct!!

The car doesn't start even with good spark , and I had this carb running good in my Vitara, and as the Zenith is not very good I replaced it with this Weber 32/36 DGAV.

You bet!!

You are both right:

Earing it work gives me even more strength no finish it!

And as we are in November having days of over 20ºc feels great to be out in the sun working on the project!!

  • 2 weeks later...

Hi andrericardo fancy a holiday in sunny North Scotland [:D][:D][;)][B)][B)] when you finished your car, as my B series needs same repairs aswell.

Keep up the good work, and I hope you don't get to sunburned working outside, while I freeze working in my garage [:(]

Dont make that offer twice because I just might accept, as I work for an airline and have free tickets...

And as I love whiskey and never been to Scotland, you never know what might happen...
