Here is some details about car--- - Manta B 2.0 e - 115 Horse power - wheels : Front 225 45 17'', rear 245 45 17'' - Year is 1982 g. - inside is white leather dash board, doors, roof, Leather recaro ( original ), all 100% leather, and i know i must take care of it, looks good white, but not so good to have on every day car. - - - Do someone of you have manta b, dash board electric sheme - - - i cant have on lights and direction lights at the same time Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
pat Posted December 11, 2008 Share Posted December 11, 2008 I had that problem once when i had removed & refitted a dash , i had to turn my lights off to indicate , found out it was the earth lead from the fuse box to the footwell that was a dodgy connection undid it cleaned the connections up & all was well , cant find my diagrams at the moment but maybe that will help , if i remember right i think it gave me some issues with the instruments too Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

pat Posted December 12, 2008 Share Posted December 12, 2008 ok its a long time since this happened so memory is a bit vague , there was a wire which ran from the fusebox area which had a ring connector on the end , this ring was screwed(earthed) if i remember ,either to the kickwell area or to the bracket that the bottom of the dash was fastened to , it was a bad connection at that point which had caused the problem with the lights & indicators ,I just cleaned up(removed rust & paint)from the areas & screwed the earth wire back down again , i assume the wire is factory fit but have not checked other cars for it , sorry for the rough description but i will have a look tomorrow at one of my cars & see if the wire is present on that too.
