keith1200 Posted March 11, 2009 Posted March 11, 2009 Its like an add for hot porn The black one looks bad! I reckon the red one will need lots of floor welding BUT the expensive bits I.E. the panels look good. In the right hands! there's no reason why someone couldn't make a good one out of the two! with the help of a nice mig Last year something like the red one with a ticket was changing hands 1.5k+ If only they were closer to clan land? [edit] oops that looks like a dealer fitted sunroof on the red one and the red one is sitting VERY low at the front broken spring? or something else! hmmm Quote

drew Posted March 15, 2009 Posted March 15, 2009 i have been to look at these today, they are very rough chassis gone on both cars around subframe mounts all doors are rotten as are the wings front panels etc. only good for spares and not to many of those to be had. Quote
Shuviteer Posted March 16, 2009 Posted March 16, 2009 I went and had a word with Karen about these last week. They have been stood since her hubby died about 18 months since, OK so it's over a bit of grass, but just curious to know how you managed to look underneath them both ???? Quote
garymanc Posted March 16, 2009 Author Posted March 16, 2009 I went and had a word with Karen about these last week. They have been stood since her hubby died about 18 months bloody hell feel a right tosser now moaning about parking on grass Quote
drew Posted March 16, 2009 Posted March 16, 2009 didnt need to look underneath, it was enough to put my hand under and feel the swanneck part of the chassis and low and behold there is not much left. a quick glance at the battery tray also gone through . feeling under the bottom of the doors while they are open more heavy corrosion. front panel has rust holes on the outer skin on both cars, boot floors both have excesive corrosion. this look round led me to believe that these cars are past economical restoration. also karen said she didnt know much about cars, but said she thought the cars were only fit for spares. but if anyone is unsure and are interested in these cars go and have a look and make your own mind up. karen will not sell them separatly as one or two people have asked. both these cars have been of the road since 2003, thats when they were last taxed Quote
