davidclayton
hi all, i'm looking to find out some info about the v8 up for sale on pistonheads (and a few other sites): http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/754130.htm i'm looking for a classic, and this ticks most of the boxes. i've contacted the seller (Malcolm), and he has told me that it is in good knick. looks great in the pictures, but until you see it in the flesh, you never really know. does anyone know anything about this car and its condition? he said that the conversion was done 4 years ago by simon peckham, who i think is a member on here: http://forums.mantaclub.org/index.php?showuser=49 maybe you can vouch for this car simon? also, is there a buyers guide anywhere on this website? i'd like to know where are the places that they are likely to rust. what are the other prioroties when checking out a manta? the car is based in scotland, and i'm based in ireland, so i want to be as sure as possible about the car before deciding if i want to go over to see it. i would appreciate your advice and help... Robbie
The engine conversion was done by Simon he knows what he is doing with mantas, depends on the customers budget to what he can do. I'm sure Simon will fill you in on what work he did. As for what rusts http://www.mantamagic.com/rust.htm There may be some other usefull info on my site that helps, any questions pop me a pm. The A series is A cracking car but then again I'm biased I have 2 lol,
