shooie811
hi i am currently in the process of changing the engine in my cav as i blew a piston out the side of it lol and i am puttin a gte engine in it but am not putting fuel injection in it. on the gte engine there is a hose at the back left bottom end part of the engine which is not on the other engine. on the other enigine it is blanked off i would like to know if it is just a breather and if it is should i keep it ther and put the gte rocker cover on it with just the one small breather pipe and run the other hose to a catch tank ? Do you mean on the block low down, at the back of the engine on the right hand side, As looking from the front? Not far from the steering column universal joint? If so i think that hose is for the heater matrix?
cam.in.head
yeah thats correct .on gte engines it goes to the heater matrix.on carburrettor cars it is blanked off & the heater is fed from a pipe that comes out of the rear of the thermostat housing. yeah thats correct .on gte engines it goes to the heater matrix.on carburrettor cars it is blanked off & the heater is fed from a pipe that comes out of the rear of the thermostat housing.
