Help Gte Wont Rev And Pops Through Airbox

as above any ideas guys any help would be really appreciated doesnt do it all the time one minute its fine then the next it wont rev and pops and farts through the airbox ?????

Check you haven't got any leaks in the pipe from airbox to plenum. They can split and cause what you desgribe. Also check the inlet/exhaust manifolds haven't worked loose and that the gaskets ok. Throttle body could also need cleaning out. I'm assuming the plugs etc are ok.

plugs etc are ok and have checked the air pipes but without any joy

have a look at the air flow meter flap , i think it can get stuck , which would give you the symptoms you describe .

it may be a bit gunked up and occasionly sticks in one postition , clean it out with carb cleaner .

( bad earth , sitting on exhaust, etc )

or your new loom might do the same ..............

it was sitting on the exhaust so will sort that out onl;y had the car 2 weeks so hadnt had chance to even look at it yet
