I have a 1984 GTE 2L hatch, which has cost me an arm and a leg have welded, painted and fixed, usual stuff, fuel pipes, brake pipes, leaking rad & all that. So I need a good motor to put in it. I want the car as original as possible so I don't need a Red Top or a 3L Carlton conversion. I have two engines, welll 3 really as I have two cars but I would like to know a good place to get an engine recondittioned. I am in Hampshire, Basingstoke but I have a car with a "big old boot" so close would be good but I don't mind a drive for a recommended place.
