dezza09 Posted September 5, 2009 Share Posted September 5, 2009 Hi i have a mk1 cavalier 1980 1.6 and i am after some engine parts i need an oil pump and mains and big end shells if anyone can help plz let me as i want the car back on the road and im having trouble getting hold of parts lol thanks. cam.in.head Posted September 5, 2009 Share Posted September 5, 2009 hi there. shells shoulnt be a problem from an engine spacialist. same across the cam in head range.(1.6,1.9,2.0,2.2,2.5,2.8 etc)oil pump is part of timing casing & gears for these pop up from time to time but usually expensive. is your casing ok ? mantasrme Posted September 5, 2009 Share Posted September 5, 2009 Try ENGINE STUFF for bearings, they also list oil pump kits (but i have no idea what this entails) When you say your oil pump is weak is it just that you have low oil pressure?
