Hello guys,

i been reading around for sometime now and this is the fist time i am saying hi...i am from Turkey, and i got myself an Opel Manta A 1975...

i really dont know about these cars, my previous car history wasnt fancy either 2 x nissan 200sx's and a Ford Focus...there is one thing i know about this tho I am in love with this one...i mean it is so fantastic its unbelivable, anywhere i go people come up to me and start asking questions anywhere i go people turns their head to give it a secound look...i even found a girl posing next to my car and her mate taking pics with cell phone...the thing i love about the car is not the attention it pulls, its the feel of the whole car... plus it is sooo much fun it is unbelivable...

my plan for the car is, keep it on the road at all times, it will be my daily driven car for now...when i get all the modifications done i ll retire it as a drift competion only car...

not finding ANY parts for the car pisses me off... lenk-tunning and dr.manta is all fine but i do want proper uprated parts...and having the lack of suspension towers is just getting into my nerves...these all caused by not being able to find some nice adjustable parts...

after seeing the hilmersson-racing.com 's manta i start to change my plans (which was to get gas suspension, make up the suspension parts and drive the car till it breaks), now what i want is a proper suspension and chassis...my new plan is to get a 1992 Nissan 200sx chassis and floor and instal it to my car...but this is JUST a plan for now...actually i found the 200sx chassis and floor but i am not paying for anything until i know what i am doing and how i ll do it (in Turkey parts are so expensive it is unbelivable)... so now i am trying to figure out if it would fit (if 200sx doesnt fit i ll look into e30 chassis), and what would cause me trouble...i dont know if i should cut it above the sills and get the whole floor or if i should cut it just after the sills and get the 200sx floor according to that...i dont know if i should keep the manta's firewall or should i go for 200sx's...

i know most of you prefer to keep it original but my car is by no means original...the guy who owned it before me got this beautiful grey manta (he said it was with injectors and so on but at some point he converted it to carburator, maybe he just said so he can sell it as gte) he painted the car ORANGE with metal flakes in it...i mean why the fu*k you would do such thing...he removed the small plastic panel behind the rear side window and painted driver side black and install some different sh*tty black plastic to the passanger side, he removed the driver side front grill (around the lights), he removed the seats and put in these lame as* so called race seats...he changed the carpet for some reason, non of the dials work properly...i love the fuel tho it shows according to road surface...the guy install 17¨ rims on the car and they break the front arches, the right rear suspension is blown...

i mean i can bad mouth the car i bought for hours, but i wont do it becouse i love it...

so if anyone can help me on my project i would be very happy...i got lots of ideas but i dont really know if it would work or not, if any of you sees a problem with my plan please do inform me...

if anyone can tell me what i got original in this car i would be very happy...i mean i dont know what is the condition of my car...of example on one the pics you can see the fuel cap the previous owner told me that it is original, it dont work i open it with a screw driver...

this is the so called original fuel cap...if it is really original i ll keep it and get the key guy to make a key for it...so how true is this...
