irmscher
looks silver to me on the inside and quite rotten by the sound of it
1900SR
Silver, sunroof, ATS alloys, chrome bumpers, blue interior. That could be a Silver 2. Not that there's any real way of knowing as they weren't badged and all the things that made them a Silver 2 were options available on any Manta. keith1200
To be fair! my earlier post is shorter than what I was going to say! BUT avoiding; 's***ing on a car i haven't seen',and claiming it might be a sliver 2 (as i know sh*it about early B's) i didn't bother. In my opinion (for wot its worth) most of the rust IS suface rust! If you look at the rocker cover etc? i reckon its been stored someplace 'damp'. The rust along the inner wing and chassis leg seem? that might put me off! why? because both might need replaced! however! looking at the driverside door, leads me to believe, that it wasn't preped properly before it got an new 'non 2-pack' colour. I wouldn't bid on it without seeing it first! could be a heap OR could be a Silver 2 bargin (depending on final price) either way? it's a 'strip-to-the-bare-metal' rebuild, like most Mantas in that condition ps I reckon its got to be worth £500 Edited March 7, 2010 by keith1200
manta400john
Looks a nice car- I don't think the rust in the engine bay looks too bad, but as it says in the description it needs attention to one of the sills, the seller's hiding nothing by offering folks to view the underside on a 4 poster. Wish it was closer to me,I'd be keen to take a look. Wonder what the extra switches are for on the fuse box cover? Someone's changed the colour...it can be changed back Looks honest enough.....I'd be keen if it were closer. John.
Cavtastic
Original colour? surface rust? I'm not that concerned just glad another rare Opel Manta has surfaced and come onto the club radar. There must be at least 10 cars a year brought out into the open that we knew nothing about. Exiting isn't it club members. Knock ebay if you like but it does bring them out
