Hi all, i have just fitted a 20xe into my berlinetta and started it up. it ran for a few minutes and the belt flew off, it only needs to be there to run the alternator but the tensioner pulley it came with is a smooth one. i need to find a ribbed one with 6 teeth to match the rest. does anyone know which one to ask for and from which car would match? or is it a case of taking it around to some parts shops and trying to find a match? cheers for any help on this.

i'd try your local breakers yard mate,i'm not 100% but i think a pulley off the later ecoteck X20XEV will be the same and there should be plenty of them in the breakers

no worries, just thinking actually is it not easier to convert it to run a V belt for the alternator instead.

Hello Marty, i went out and bought a new tensioner today with a belt. i think the first belt was too tight and also i do not think all the pulleys are running in line so will fit it to car tommorrow and see what happens.
