Look At This Complete Heap Of Junk!

Manta GT/J link

What a total heap of crap! The sellers having a laugh, you call that a manta...

Actually it's mine  and this is a shameless plug for my listing. It'll be nice to see it back in one piece, but facing facts it's worth more in bits, even more so than a standard 1.8 as this has got some nice GTE stuff on it too. The reserve is set at a monkey, but I'm interested in swaps or PX's, so if anyone has a 1960 Ariel Arrow they'd want to swap then don't be a stranger :D

^ Thanks, yes the seats are in very good order, it's just the damn tilt handle has broke off.

That looks so close to being finished aswell.

Hows things Rick been a while.

Hello mate, hope you're well and still finding time to tinker with the spanners (I hope that doesn't have a double meaning  ). This car did get nearly done, I even bought the primer and paint for it but hey ho!

Ooh it's your Manta eh..? Well as stated in my for sale ad the merging together of your Manta and mine would make a great car for someone as they'll have all the bits they need (and more) to make a great XE powered Manta.

Thanks, yes a non sunroof redtopped hatch with uprated springs and brakes, choice of interiors and such more spares than you need, all for £750 :D (That's £1000 plus a shell, a 1.8 box, sump and mounts to sell on to recoup at leat £250!)

Heck, if both cars go to a club member, I'll even throw in the celly paint I got for mine.

Not that anyones interested but hooray! It's sold....

I better try and get the bugger started today as the engine and box are going to live on in a Chevette. The owner can uprate from his 1.3ohv to 1.8ohc and in the future look out for a redtop, not a bad idea really.

Now that I've sold my manta, I'd best say bye bye OMOC...

...oh wait I've still got another

Thanks Julian, just a shame it's the wrong answer

I did manage to start the 1.8 today, usual trick of pouring petrol straght down into the carb and eventually it fires enough to pull fuel from the tank by itself. I thought I'd take my GTE for a spin to celebrate and guess what...

...that f**ker wouldn't start :( and I already killed my jump starter on the 1.8 ...ah well.
