steel
made 2 floor pans today was feeling quite pleased with myself they say pride comes before a fall spot the [deliberate] ahem mistake would have liked to get some ridges pressed in but just havent got the tools to do it so flat sheet with a 90 degree lip along the inner cill and rear edge will have to do and yep i made 2 right hand panels instead of 1 of each oh well i have a spare now Edited July 27, 2011 by steel

steel
havent been on for a bit except for 30 secs here and there not much progress with the project except for this remade the floor pans from scratch as i dont think i could fit the plain flat floors i did first time around without it nagging me that i could have done them better and look a lot better with a swage in them managed to do this http://img42.imagesh...772/floor3t.jpg not perfect [ see ripples in swage] 2nd pic,,,but best i could do with what i had did have a company lined up that was going to swage them but the pans were to wide for their machine so bit of ingenuity came into play ime happy with the resultsand have the tool to use on the bulkhead bootfloor ect Edited August 10, 2011 by steel
ascona400r
Looking good.... is there a diy tool one can buy to do the swage lines in flat tin/steel, or do they need to go to an engineer with the proper machine ?? Keep up the good work......

steel
again not got much done l8ely but did manage to borrow a big industrial mig to final weld the chassis to the inner cills via the outriggers, and floor pans to chassis from inside outside and underneath the quality on the welds is so much better than i can achieve with my little clarke 135 turbo will get pics posted up tomoz next step is to remove completely the remains of old bulkhead and a posts ready to start fabricating them from scratchseeing it with the floors in has given me a kick in the arse to crack on at times it would be so easy to knock it on the head but i think it will be worth the toil once finished altho not to the purists maybe Edited August 23, 2011 by steel
