adz the stig
are cars like this worth getting? i mean totally rotten manta's i mean
Danny D114BCW
i would say no, what could you take of this, glass, switches etc, nothing which would warrant alot of money.
spiney_norman
After sitting on grass for that length of time I wouldn't even trust the mechanicals without completely overhauling them. I doubt there'd be much worth picking off this one, apart from glass as Danny says, and possibly a few bits of trim.
opel2000
Full set of Exclusive Glass. Door seals, Rear quarter glass seals. Door cards. Rear cards Parcel shelf. Later Exclusive lighter grey dash Carpet. Screen seals. Servo. Master Cylinder. Crossmember. Axle. 1 Twin headlamp Rear lights. Exclusive rear bumper. Rear light filler piece. Possibly doors. Possibly wings. Roof looks like it may not be too good,,,,, Seriously though, this is the sort of car I could have dne with as it would have all the matching glass and trim to finish off my project to a T , there is in reality a good few £'s worth of stuff on that, that is getting harder to source. If it were nearer to me and I had space to store the stripped parts I'd have it.
Kevin Abbott
D reg exclusive? In white Looks like bronce glass to me and it's been sitting on grass for 11 years so it's going to be worse underneath than on top Edited July 28, 2011 by Kevin Abbott
biffy1984
Have to agree with opel2000, the last heap of shit I dragged home was as bad if not worse and I payed £200 for it! That car had been in a shed with half a roof since 1994 so say 16/17 years and the bits I used off it were Mint carpets and original floor mats Windscreen and seal Rear seatbelts Fuel tank Dash Rear seat Door seals A lot of trim etc And have a load of spares off it. The boot floor was gone and as were the floorpans but believe it or not the front chassis legs were perfect so they're on the shelf as well. So prob still worth a few quid to someone needing the useable parts... Cheers Peter.
spiney_norman
Actually, any Manta's worth a couple of hundred quid now, even if it's to pinch a few useful bits and weigh the rest in!

Danny D114BCW
is it me or did that hatch have fix rear quarters? there rare. But holy hell there are some rotten cars anymore? As for the doors on the ebay car i think its safe to say they are fooked,
opel2000
Fixed rear quarters on hatch not rare, not only that but hatch glass hinge area was a hell of a lot more of a sturdier item over the Budget coupe
rutts
i think you should be thrown out the club for not sticking to the constitution of preserving the opel manta not ripping the good cars like those easy projects to pieces. i have never raped a manta for my own gain. now where is stockport before you lot kill it
