Ascona Lhd Rolling Shell

I thought that Asconas on German Ebay were from around 3 to 5 thousand Euros and some of these were 4 door models. If you found a 2 door one and then bought it and brought it back, you'd probably rip it's interior and Engine out anyway and then want to respray it to build it to your own spec. So the way I see it, this Ascona's already had all the trim and Engine disposed of and will save you doing it yourself... Left hand drive doesn't take much getting used to and I think that a 400 replica looks a bit more "Hardcore" in LHD. .Luke.

Wow... I'd never heard of this "Mobile" before. Put me down for a Polar white LHD 2 door with no rust. I've got £500 spare...............Ha Ha ... Luke.

YES ITS MY CAR,A COUPLE OF THOSE GERMAN CARS ARE OK BUT ONE IS IN BERLIN AND THE OTHER ONE IS A LOT OF MONEY, THE GREEN CAR IS A LOT LIKE A UK CAR VERY RUSTY, I HAVE A VERY GOOD FRIEND IN GERMANY THAT FINDS ME THE GOOD CARS AS ANYONE WHO HAS BOUGHT A 2 DOOR ASCONA FROM ME WILL TESTIFY. I THINK IN MY OPINION THE PRICE IS A FAIR PRICE FOR THE CAR, AS LUKE SAID THIS CAR IS STRIPPED SO IT CAN BE VEIWED WITHOUT ANYTHING HIDDEN BY CARPETS ETC.I WOULD RATHER START WITH A GOOD SOLID SHELL THAN BUY A RUSTY ONE AND TRAIL HALFWAY ROUND EUROPE FOR IT. THE WAY I SEE IT A LOT OF THE HARD WORK HAS BEEN DONE. THANKS FOR THE POSSITIVE COMMENTS.

Thanks for the comments guys will watch aswell on ebay and might be tempted !!!

As far as prices go i am not to sure as ascona projects don't come along very often but in the past i have travelled long distances to find so called clean escort shells that need minor work only to find they need a full resto so i would agree on the travelling round europe comment

That was gt4_ade on here, using panels from a scrapped 2 door Ascona to convert a 4 door Ascona. I might even see the car soon!

Ah yes, it was quite an epic job tho I thought he used keiths old 2 dr cav coupe that was beyond redemption
