As many on this forum know, I'm not a fan of the Cav's But must say that I'm really liking this. Love those sideskirts coupled with that front airdam to bits, and a superb set of wheels too, always

like clive says looking very good in a subtle , less is more kind of way , nothing jumps out at you you have to study to appreciate the car and take in the low key enhancements , just for the record,

Blimey its morphed into a Manta, where 's the Cav

The Bottom of the filler cap was rotten thru , here`s it plated then recut to size

The n/s/r wheel arch was rotten thru as well so had a bash at putting in a new one

I used a Joggler to shape the panel before sinking in the new arch (hadrian panels)

Turned out okay for first time but to much heat in one place when welding led to metal distortion (Warping)

Which led to more filler being used later on to shape the arch.

Love that Cavalier :) Actually my first car was a Cavalier like yours in dark metal blue. It was a 1600S and had the "real" side trim between the windows where it said "sports-hatch" with white letters at the bottom. Great great car, and i miss it alot from time to time :)

Love those sideskirts coupled with that front airdam to bits, and a superb set of wheels too, always found the Manta or in this case the Cav a car that has to have a correct set of wheels to set it off nicely, and you're never gonna go wrong with a deep dish 5 spoke on these vehicles.

Looking really good mate, the finished article is already there for us all to see even though it is not in paint yet, I'm guessing you may be keeping it the original yellowy colour???

Nice thread with some good pics there, look forward to seeing the progress. :thumbup
