D691JEC was my first Manta. I bought it from a guy in Kirkauldy for 600 quid with a full mot. I sold it a few months later to buy a coupe, the guy bit my hand off to get the car but sold it very soon after, the cars ultra solid and just needs a wee tidy. Hope i get to see it again one day.

I bought it from the Aberdeen direction as a run about as i was needing a car ,

I`ve painted the rear quarters and painted a good n/s wing to change over ,

Good enough for a run about ,

This car will be for sale in the coming months as i`ve a new diesel passat to keep the wife happy ,

(She hates old cars / doesn`t and never will understand)

It will need some welding to the sills for next Mot ,

You can have her back if you want ,

As you can see from the pictures above , i`ve more than enough cars ,

(who cut the grill out ?? it annoys me)

Kev

PM sent regarding the white Hatch :)

You Have a PM ,

Hi Kev, im not sure who cut the grill, sacrilidge if you ask me. I replaced the fuel tank as the other one was humped.

I remember when i collected it, was runnin like a bag of spanners but i thought it was just the radiator loose but it was only runnin on 3, still flew past my m8 at 90, ha.

How much are you lookin for it? Iv got a drive full of cars too. No wife tho :-D lol.

I`ve been shying away from the painting side of things ,

Jacked her up and starting striping bits off before prep ,

Was going to try and get her painted before the Tain show but don`t think i`ll make it ,

Well Guys ,

That`s me coughing my guts up . . (with a good mask)

Car has it`s colour change . . .

Just need to wait and see what she looks like in the morning ,

Or should i say , See how many bits of air trash are in the finish ,

You can do mine when your finished. looking good.

Lol , Takes too long to prep and paint to do homers,

I`ve a Campervan and the Mk1 Cavy to paint next ,

Never ending job in the garrage here . .

Very jelous of your workspace, Id love to have so much space!

Yeah i`m very lucky to have my works shed at hand to do my cars in ,

For years i worked outside on the drive = lieing on the chuckys getting soaked welding sh*te lol

I`m pushing on with my projects the now as work (recovery) game is very quiet the now ,

Not sure how secure our jobs are so . . If i lose the job here i`ve no where to work on cars ,

I`d end up selling everything / unfinished projects ,
