I am new here, have just bought a 1972 Opel Manta A which had been lurking in an old ladies garage for the last 20 years, it is a 1900 automatic. I plan to take it racing, still looking in to my options, rallying, track days, hill climbs etc... I am getting the car through an mot first but am planning a full strip and rebuild, any advice on which gearbox and diff to change to? Was thinking ZF 5 speed box and ZF LSD??? I also need to know what the regulations are in classic car racing as to how far you can go with tuning the engine, anyone know where I can get all this information? Thanks...
