Exhaust Needed For Opel Commodore Gse Coupe?

A mate of mine is emptying part of his dad's old motor factors out on Saturday afternoon and has asked me to give him some help. It's all 1960's, 70's, 80's and early 90's stuff and it's huge. I've already had quite a few bargains from out of there as nobody else knows what's what. Last time I came back with a new old stock, genuine GM rear quarter panel for a Rekord D four door for a tenner and three new Sierra Cosworth Mk1 grilles for a fiver each. There's a couple of thousand exhausts in there too and all the Manufacturers are grouped together. I'll have a look for a system for your GSE and look out for any other interesting Opel bits. He's sure there's a few Manta and Kadett bits and pieces in there too. I'm looking for Mk2 Cavalier panels as these are getting rare now and I know I spotted a couple of Mk3 Genuine GM door skins last time I was there. Mk1 and 2 Fiesta panels seem to be increasing in demand so I'll look for these too as well as the Mk1 and 2 Escort and Capri panels. There's also a few Mk2 Transit panels and a new Grille so I can see a good Ebay session might be in order next week. ...Luke.

Turbo16N,

I had a look through the GM stuff and couldn't see one. It's mostly Carlton, Nova,Cavalier 1,2 and 3, Tigra, Rekord etc. I'd got a pretty good idea what you were after as I used to fit Exhausts for a living many years ago. Sorry for getting your hopes up. Some Autojumbler has been up there and taken the best panels... He spent £1500 apparently and they knocked holes through the floor to make it easier for him to get the panels out of the building, from up on the 3rd floor. I still managed to rescue a few bits and pieces though, but none of them for a Manta or Commodore. The place is left with a load of Rover 200/400 outer sills, About 15 Mk3 Fiesta Bonnets, Some Maestro, Montego, Rover 213, Peugeot 309, Fiat Uno, Mk1 Polo and Mk2 Golf wings, A couple of Transit DI front panels and bonnets and about 12 Mk2 Fiesta Door skins and 6 Mk4 Escort 4 door outer door skins...... No value in any of these really, so I've left them there to go for scrap. ......Luke.

Where are you in UK? There is a chap in Gloucester who has quite a bit of Commodore stuff. Otherwise, I'll check with some of the UK Commodore owners I have networked with. Have you got any pics of your coupe, and do you want to join the network? If so, I will need an email address.
