MANTAMAN Posted February 22, 2012 Share Posted February 22, 2012 the rust starting to show does make the buy it now price seem high, but it's worth at least over a thousand.... genuine 37k, full history, original bill of sale, un-damaged interior (harder to replace than rusty metal) and though it's rusting above the tailgate hinges it appears to be non-sunroof and that would be a real bonus. this manta with a bit of work could become a really nice example, then whats it worth? 3-4k? Bear in mind if that is what is showing on the crappy Ebay pics just wait until the car is bought, and paint stripped back to show the true extent of corosion, same for sills, chassis, fuel tank, fuel lines, etc etc Roof repair would be the hardest part of any work in my opinion, due to easily distorting the roof when welding, needs a bit of skill to get that right, and a bit of filler. £600 to me is a fair price for the work that needs doing Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Ian, spot on. It will appeal to someone looking for this exact model, mileage is a bonus and the interior is superb. When smartened up this would be a nice car.......seeing as almost every manta getting any talk time these days seems to be a coupe with/getting/needing an XE and/or 400 kit this car could be a breath of fresh air!
