Opel Manta GTE Hatch / 1984 (A Reg)

Braking The Whole Car For Spare(s) Only

My Postcode Location is :

IV11SU

Inverness

Highlands Of Scotland

I bought this car last week from a local farmer ,

For the few things that I need for my Gte Hatch . .

It had been sitting in a field uncovered for the last 18/20 years ,

It was taken off the road because it had an oil leak and left to rot,

The car is in a right sorry state as you will see from the pictures . .

It is completely rotten :(

If it was saveable I would save it!

I had tried for a long time to buy this car for spares. .

The farmers quoted me that they would rather run the tractor over it??

So it took a lot of persuasion to get it in my possession ,

The only good way to look at it is at least her parts will go on to help other Manta`s stay on the road :)

If you require any parts just PM me and i`ll try my best to help out ,

Please give me time in order to do this as i`m very busy with work ect and my own projects so bear with me ,

Payment wise = Paypal is good for me ,

Parts wont be dear , long as they get used again.

Best Regards

I'll definitely take the wheels Kev, still wanting the seats too if you decide to part with them ;)

I might get a few free days later this week as we haven't sailed yet, should know more by tuesday, if I do I'll be up to see you shortly. I'll keep you posted.

Cheers.

Just stripped my washer motors down today. Drivers side has a seized gear even though I dismantled it and stripped out a load of compacted grease and lubricated it. Looking for a working pair or the drivers side at the very least so anything you can come up with would be great. I'd also like the mounting brackets too as mine aren't too clever.

Thanks

Andy

Not in any hurry, but might be interested in Gearbox and prop if okay. for spares and repairs.

Let me know if available and cost, and I will sort out P&P via Interparcel.

Cheers

Rob

Hi Rob ,

I`ve had 4x people after the gearbox so far so i think the best thing to do is :

Each PM a bid and we`ll do it that way ,

Thats okay, it was only if nobody else required it. What about the prop?

I`ll be keeping the propshaft for myself as a spare as i dont have any single ,

Andy I'll be in the garage later so I'll try check for you,

If not i`ll let you no next week ,

All pm's replayed to ,

Kev

Thanks Kev

I also need one headlamp wiper as the plastic clip inside one of my wipers has snapped so it is only loosely fitted. I could also do with the squirter hose to the nearside headlamp squirter. Perhaps it's best if I take the whole shebang: i.e. both headlamp wiper motor assembly's including mounting brackets and wiper arms to save confusion :D
