I received a pm from him regarding lowering springs for my A series Ascona. He asked me to reply by e mail which I did. Got the following reply from him: Hi Adrian, I have a good set of lowering springs for an Ascona A 1.6S. I do not have images but they are in near mint shape and condition. I am asking £240 for them and price includes shipping and handling. I will be shipping via UPS or Dhl whichever you prefer and shall accept payment via Western union or Money gram. What's your complete shipping address? thanks, Graham. Now I could be barking up the wrong tree, and if I am I apologise! It just sounds dodgy to me, so thought I'd check it out first! I'm thinking the same as you, just sounds to good to be true. Might ask if I can collect, shouldn't have a problem with that if the parts exists. He's also asking for payment by untraceable means (if you send money by Western Union or Moneygram you've no way of knowing who's got the money and no recourse if anything goes wrong). Paypal is the safest and most convenient and widely accepted way to pay for something online, who actually uses WU or Moneygram nowadays? Edit: Haha, Just realised I have 2 PM's from him asking if I'm still looking for headlights and shocks, he's been trawling everyone's wanted adds. Is it possible for the mods to do anything about him before he rips anyone off? It's definitely a scam.
