Perywinkle
Andy Hazard was previous, John before him Edited July 27, 2012 by Perywinkle
manta400john
Andy Hazard was previous, John before him And before me it was a guy in Edinburgh(well according to the logbook anyway), but I towed it away from beside a static caravan at Smeaton Farm near Whitecraig, East Lothian. No logbook but I wasn't bothered......I was having it even if it was a non runner. A dropped valve and smashed piston suggesting it had been driven hard, also it was a 1.9 CVH but I think it was a 1.6 on the V5 ?? I got a new piston and rod for it but then had a wee think about the XE I had sitting.....the rest is history. Looking back I wish I'd kept it standard, if I had I would still have it I think. Has to be said though with the XE it was a hoot to drive ! A great car and still is by the look of it !! GLWS John.
