redginga
Hi Manta World, With reluctance I'm leting my Manta go, as I'm afraid I don't have the space or expertise to do the car justice. I can only sell it under the basis of a restoration project or for spares on a current project, as it does have a lot of original features, badges, sunroof, SR dials etc. (I even found a complete newspaper from 1972 behind the back seat) The bodywork at least on top is in a fair condition but does need a respray, but the problems are on the underside where there is a lot of rust. I have had the engine runinig for a short time, but as the carb was spitting petrol over the exhaust I thought it best to switch it off. I was planning to install a C20XE engine which I still have. I live in East London and the car is a non runner. I also have pictures available if you send me your email address. I'm looking for about £1500 for the car and maybe a deal with the engine. Retro Power
Looks like as good a basis for restoration as any to me, main plus is you've not got years of MOT bodgery to cut out, which usually makes an "on the road" car end up being much more expensive to restore than one which is rusty, but unmolested, like this one
Ed Parkinson
there is a lot of rot on this car and will require so much work. IMO not worth 1500quid- sorry =/
