opelscott22 Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 Ooooh shiny!! Are those calipers for road use? i.e, proper dust seals? Will they fit under 15" revo's? Im interested... Scott. Quote
TJM Posted April 29, 2013 Author Posted April 29, 2013 Hello Scott These are racing calipers (no dust seals) but are available with stainless steel pistons as an optional extra. As for fitting under 15" revos I would have thought so but please compare internal dimensions and offsets. Regards Tim Quote
jasper Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 Hi Tim, can you supply the caliper mounting brackets seperately,if so how much. Regards Colin Quote
mantaray Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 For a road car you would need to use Cp5200 calipers which should be a direct replacement for the pro 5000+ ones. I think I still have a pair of used CP 5200 calipiers if you are interested. Quote
TJM Posted April 29, 2013 Author Posted April 29, 2013 Hello I can supply the brackets and bells seperate if required. Bells £50 each anodised silver. Brackets £50 each anodised silver. P&P £11.50 to UK Mainland. In stock and ready for immediate despatch. Regards Tim Quote
TJM Posted April 30, 2013 Author Posted April 30, 2013 Hello Reference using the CP5200 calipers they would need a new bracket as they have different mounting hole sizes (10mm as opposed to 12mm) and a small variation in mounting offset. These would however come with dust seals. I can make new brackets if required. Let me know. (Price would be the same). Regards Tim Quote
TJM Posted May 7, 2013 Author Posted May 7, 2013 Hello to all I am just in the process of making new brackets so a road kit will be available soon using the CP5200 brake calipers (with brake seals). Regards Tim Quote
TJM Posted June 19, 2013 Author Posted June 19, 2013 Hello Price of road kit £1475.00. Regards Tim Quote
611 Posted June 19, 2013 Posted June 19, 2013 (edited) Hi Tim Do you have measurements for the mounting brackets? Im running some wilwood 4 pots on my A series and need to get some brackets and just wondered how different the AP setup is to the wilwood? http://www.theopelproject.com/?p=364 smaller calipers but i wonder how far off the setup in mounting holes is between the 2? TJM Posted June 20, 2013 Author Posted June 20, 2013 Hello Are the calipers radial mounted, do you have a link to the caliper so I can get some specs. Mine are radial and 152mm mounting centres. Regards Tim Quote
611 Posted June 20, 2013 Posted June 20, 2013 Hi Tim I didnt realise the AP's were radial mount. i didnt notice when i looked at the pictures. mine are tob mount (http://www.wilwood.com/Images/Caliper/Caliper_Photos-Large/Billet_Dynalite_SI-lg.jpg), so probably wont be any good for mine. Andy Quote
Retro Power Posted June 21, 2013 Posted June 21, 2013 very good price that kit. Re. road calipers vs non sealed ones, with AP calipers, unless you never check them, the non dirt sealed ones will be fine. Lots of rally cars run them and they handle a lot harsher conditions than most road cars Quote
TJM Posted July 17, 2013 Author Posted July 17, 2013 Hello Both kits will now be £1495.00 using AP Racing APF403 compeition pads or road equivelant. Other pads can be supplied but may incur some extra cost. I have these for both standard hubs or my Group 4 heavy duty hubs. Regards Tim Quote
