Have been rubbing up the boot spoiler over the past few week, but have been waiting on a tin of flex additive arriving so i could primer it. Got the flex additive yesterday so, finished of rubbing up the spoiler today and premiered it up. seangteowens
Few bits still to weld on the manta plus a few pin hole found buy the shot blasting. Give her a coat of etch primer.. When you blasted the shell what primer paint did u use first?
Novasportc550
It's a 2 pack etch primer for bare metal. 1 part etch 1 part hardener .. If you just spray normal primer over bare metal it won't stick right and start flaking of after a while..
seangteowens
Right would you give that just one coat after you blast it to stop the rust. then when all the work is done would you give it another coat of etch and then ur finishing paint? Novasportc550
Yea to stop it rusting, I give it 2 coats to be sure.. It can sit for months like this, then when you are ready to primer just give it a light scotch and away you go..

Novasportc550
Another busy weekend, power steering is almost fitted, roof cloth in, seat belts in, carpets fitted and passenger lower part of dash fitted too. Back seat set in! But I need to get it retrimed at a later date.. Trying to find all the parts in my shed is really slowing things down, although the pile is getting smaller lol..
H-400
I followed this topic, great job!! This part was for me the worst, trying not to damage the new paint. Power steering is something on my "next to do" list.
