Does anyone know where I can get hold of a windscreen for a 1987 Manta Coupe GTE either new or second hand (but in good condition) for completion of a full restoration???

The original cracked on removal and I thought it looked as if it had a green tint but speaking to those who know, the screen wasn't tinted (except for a blue sunstrip).

Cheers.

Are the Manta Coupe and Hatch front windscreens the same ?

I'm pretty sure they are, but not 100% confident

Andy C would know.

All Manta front screens are the same as in size just different if tinted, same goes for the Ascona

Ascona and Cav mk1 saloons are slightly different to Mantas, but otherwise yes, any Manta screen will fit.[/quote

Do you mean to say that the spare blue tint Manta screen that I have, will not fit my Cav Rob? So that's thirty quid down the drain then! I've been hanging on to this fir three years!

Hi,

Thanks everyone for all your advice and help.

I've actually managed to source a new one from the continent via an agent down south.

Not too expensive but wish I'd been in touch with Druid earlier.

Anyway, thanks again and by the way Dave, the exclusive screen is tinted not clear as you first thought.

By the way, once I'm up and running, I'll be joining the club. I was a member back in the early 90's when manta's weren't quite as rare as they are now!!

Glad to hear you got sorted. Good luck with the resto. Hope to see your car out and about soon.
