Manta B Fog Light .

i was wondering if the left section on the drivers side tailight cluster is the fog light , if so why do we use an external foglight below the bumper . forgive me if this is a doooooooooooh type of question ...........

just turn the reversing light into fog light by switching power feed from fog to reverse bulb circuit fit a red LED bulb and job done.

So reversing lights are not a legal requirement then? and the car will pass an MOT test without a reversing light ?

I guess you only need one. Im assuming he means just change one of them to a fog light.

what age is your car shug? mine is a 1980 (feb) fog light was not required for mot.

Reversing lights are not part of the MOT

A Fog light is required from i thought 1986 (same as wing repeaters) but looking at the Vosa site it says its from 1st Nov 1980

You can fit an LED into the taillight behind the inner red reflector and leave the reversing lights alone. Its a lot neater than having one hung from teh back panel

that is what has been done to the tailight i was going to use . they removed the reversing lenz and fitted a red one . i only caught this on today ..

I rewired the drivers side reverse light to turn it into the fog light (with a red bulb fitted).
