Hi All,

Long time since I have been on this wesite, trying to source front exhaust pipes for my '78 Manta B, new or good used, been looking for ages, even got some from Germany then discovered they were different on LH drive cars.

Thanks, here's hoping. Barry Clack

I think I've got a good used frontpipe Barry, I'll try to have a look in the morning.....where are you from, anywhere near Essex? Dave.

Unfortunately nowhere near you, Welsh Borders, however if its good don't mind paying for the postage, mine's a coupe not sure whether this makes a difference? Anyway leave this with you untill you have had a look!

I had a look this morning and couldn't find it I'm afraid...but I'm convinced it's somewhere and it's in good nick so I'll keep looking. I'm 99.8% certain that the same one fits all models with manual trans but if anyone else can confirm that I'd be happier as this one came from a hatch. Anyone....?

Ok thanks for looking, keep trying.........Anyone......... are the front exhaust pipes (Manifold to middle box) the same on a hatch and coupe B????????

I fitted a complete front pipe to my coupe ( Mk1 Cav) last year, I was told it came off a Hatch, but as it was like new, and the price was right, I took a chance when I bought it, and it fitted perfectly, but bear in mind I was only told it was off an Hatch.

My understanding is that hatch and coupe front pipes are not the same, however both kinds will fit either car. The coupe one has an extra silencer in it which it flat and oblong in shape, whereas the Hatch front pipe doesn't have this and is just straight through.

Like you say, they are thin on the ground - good luck! I'm going for a stainless when mine goes if I can rustle up the funds.

Good to see you've still got the car!
