Julian Posted December 16, 2013 Posted December 16, 2013 Am I reading that right? The car does not have an engine?!!!!! and why don't these people show pics of the bad parts of the body? from the distance those pics have been taken it looks a very, very nice car. I know I wouln't give anywhere near that asking price for it. Quote
taylorblue5 Posted December 16, 2013 Author Posted December 16, 2013 Haha, its my car Jullian. you cant really see the bodywork issues as its not rust just a small rise in body filler. The conversion parts alone are worth around 900 quid. £2500 for a car that's road legal and complete isn't bad in my book. cost me alot more than that to build with cage, £800. so £1700 for a coupe with rear disc conversion and mot doesn't seem to bad a deal to me. Road legal and complete, so does this mean it's got an engine fitted then? Quote
taylorblue5 Posted December 17, 2013 Author Posted December 17, 2013 If someone is seriously interested I will put an 2.1 xe back in it. The reason I have advertised it witbout is many people out there have their own engine in the garage waiting to be planted. Also im looking for a quickish sale as iv bought another car and I need the space and time to sort that before going back to work. If you read my ad in the cars for sale section it clearly reads "Offers and opinions invited" Not sure why this is turning into a slag fest. Quote
1900SR Posted December 17, 2013 Posted December 17, 2013 Sorry, wasn't meaning to sound negative, just the ad reads that it doesn't have an engine, but an ecotec can be supplied, but your comments above suggested that it was complete which suggests I could drive it home. Quote
taylorblue5 Posted December 17, 2013 Author Posted December 17, 2013 No probs Dude. Iv dropped the price to £2995 with a x20xe (2L ecotec) engine fitted and running. A very cheap car now for someone. 2 Quote

I must admit that I tend to be a bit harsh on non members adds, and I did think that this was in that catogary, cos if I knew it was your car M8 I wouldn't even have made a comment on the forum about it, sounds daft I know!! but I still stick to the no close up photo comments. I see you have altered the add now, and I really do wish you the very best with the sale 3 Quote
