Thomas77GR Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 Hi folks and happy new year to everyone I'm after the following as part of the long long DIY restoration I'm doing to my A series. -front wheel bearing grease caps (x2 if poss, really need 1) -rear bumper light unit (x2 if poss, otherwise 1 is fine) -opel badges for front grill and boot - front brake backing plates (x2) - windscreen rubber I'm based in Scotland, many thanks
Shug Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 Might have spare boot badge. Is it the opel blitz on top of lid, or the opel word badge?
Paul Barrett Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 I have two backing plates, have been sand blasted then primered, I can paint them too if required. They have some tiny pin holes but rust free. May have number plate lights too and a grill badge
611 Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 Think i can help you out on the bearing caps and i can probably help with the bumper lights as i think i have some floating around in the loft. I can get up in the loft over the weekend and let you know. I might have a screen rubber but again need to check as i have a whole bundle of rubber bits i need to sort through :-) Andy
Thomas77GR Posted January 3, 2014 Author Posted January 3, 2014 Thanks for the replies, I need the opel blitz (as opposed to the opel word) for the boot. keep me posted, appreciated all
Shug Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 Got a spare blitz badge. Bit of polish n elbow grease and it should be pretty good. Pm me your address and I'll send it out to you.
Thomas77GR Posted January 3, 2014 Author Posted January 3, 2014 Shug, tried to PM you but it says you can't accept messages? also found an old email address of yours (mackay.eclipse.co.uk) but that doesn't work either. email me tbamp77 at hotmail dot com
Shug Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 Oops, several years worth of pm's. deleted some now.
611 Posted January 5, 2014 Posted January 5, 2014 Right, found one rear bumper light. All complete, just needs a clean and maybe a new bulb. And im sure the grease caps are still in the garage, so will pop in there tomorrow before work and also mail a pic of the light. No luck on the screen rubber but these guys do new for 60 euros. http://www.atz-online.com/ (click on the top link ERSATZTEILE and then you will see a section for rubbers, seals, gasket ) I bought a few bits from them and the quality is good and quick delivery.
