I did a "how to" for his in 2007 (Manta B ) no idea where it went

Snowy, your fan is sat on a shelf with some of your other bits.

Mantadoc, yeah same idea but i use the later polo mk4/mk5 fan which has a bit more oomph and a different resistor.

Yup time has moved on the older fan seems to be same size unit but will probably be getting thin on the ground itself

I know this is a very old thread now, but did you ever make any progress with the fan upgrade for a A?

I never found a small enough motor from another modern car to use. Admitedly i didn't go through every option out there so there may be something that would work.

Presume there is no chance of getting one of these for my newly purchased and squealing manta b? I realise this thread is very old.
