thought i would share my experience of cleaning Recaor seats I purchased for my Manta project.

With the seats out of the car, remove the seat rails and make up a strong mix of Persil biological washing machine powder in warm water, and wash the seats with a nail brush

Wash down with a power washer, but not with the jets so close it will damage the fabric

Repeat wash with Persil and repeat pressure wash

Use a wetvac to suck the water and dirt out of the seats,

Use a air duster nozzle on the end of the compressed air hose to blow out the hinges and remove moisture

Leave to dry (I put mine in a conservatory) They will take a week or so to be 100% dry.

Lubricate the hinges, I use a squirt of silicone grease, being careful not to cover the fabric.

There are other options, I chose to do this one as it was the easiest one for me in NZ.

Everyone has an opinion on this subject, I am only posting this to share my experience after finding it very hard to find any decent information

I hope this helps anyone thinking about undertaking a similar mini project and simply needing to see what can be done.

Thats pretty much how I did a set on van seats that were covered in grime/oil so much you couldnt see the pattern in the cloth. Clothes washing powder does a great job doesnt it?
