5-Speed Getrag Rubber Mount

Need to replace the gearbox mount on my car, was getting rough when I fitted it and hasn't improved with time.

seem to remember you can buy (used to be able to buy?) these new but for silly money, about £60, which was way OTT for a bit of injection moulded rubber and a bolt.

Any news since then?  Any knocking around?

What you need is one of these http://www.ebay.de/itm/Dampfungsblock-Getriebeaufhangung-hinten-5-Gang-Getrag-240-265-cih-Automatik-/201071609106?pt=DE_Autoteile&hash=item2ed0cd4512 its an aftermarket alternative for a fraction of the price of a genuine one and good quality. The seller is great to deal with i've had a lot of bits from him in the past. He also does the same part as a kit including the metal bracket and new bolts too http://www.ebay.de/itm/Set-Getriebeaufhangung-mit-Dampfungsblock-hinten-5-Gang-Getriebe-Getrag-240-cih-/201071609266?pt=DE_Autoteile&hash=item2ed0cd45b2

I have been using LandRover engine mounts for years now.

Britpart number NRC2054.

Use two, support the gearbox in position with a jack and remove the old mount and crossmember, then screw the two land rover mounts into the gearbox and then refit the crossmember to obtain the new hole positions for the lower threads.

The new mounts will need spacing, I normally get a thick bit of plate and weld it to the cross member, I then drill the holes for the thread in this.

Total cost, of about £8.

I agree, got loads of parts from him (including one of those!)

Very helpful and quick on delivery. And his shop has so many parts its hard not to buy more bits!!

These guys also have some great stuff, but a bit trickier to get bits as they only take a banks transfer. But lots of good stuff.

Wow, thousands of replies to choose from!  This sounds good, so instead of a sort of triangular bit of wobbly rubber you mount these 2 side-by-side round bits on a plate, and the mount holes/bolts all match?    I ask because my technical german is a bit rusty these days, rather like my floorpan.

I like this idea too, Paul.  Cheap.  Cheap is always good.  And my mate is a Landy enthusiast, so it's a live possibility.
