stephenlevin1620
So I've got my eyes on a set of genuine borbet A 16inch 4x100 et15 9J & 7.5J staggered wheels inc flatcaps and lockers. Will these fit my exclusive??
paulmanta
The A look good, I have a set on my V8, I went with 16s all 4 the same width and offset. I think 8 wide it was a few years and many projects ago so I would have to look at the wheels to say for sure !, I made up spacers to get them where I wanted them in the arches and I think its a sensible idea to use proper hub-centric spacers that fit in the wheel and onto the hubs from and rear. Martin Stanishev
Hi guys , today I am receiving Azev 16" for my B coupe. 7.5" front and 9J rear. What tyre sizes will fit without mods to the arches ?
Kevin Abbott
If you want to go low then be careful with the size and offset. I have 7x15 ET 13 with 195/50/15 and had to trim the arches. The 205/50/15 on the rear rubbed like crazy
biffy1984
I had Azev A's on mine, 7.5x16 et20 on the front, 195/45x16 tyres, no problem with standard arches. 9x16 et15 on the back with 205/45x16, had to roll the arches slightly and weld an adjuster into my pan hard rod because mine's very low. Arches may need no mods if not lowered. Will see if I can find a photo.
Kevin Abbott
Hmmmm, doing the panhard rod was something I had forgotten about, probably why it rubbed more on one side
Martin Stanishev
My ambition is to roll 215/45/16 on both axles. Luckily I found someone to modify the arches

Widest you'll be able to go without arch mods is 7.5 but you'll need a positive offset of around 20/25mm. if I were you I'd see if you could borrow some 16 inch wheels off a mate or someone to try on before you commit to buy anything. Also, a set of lowering springs aren't expensive, if you're on a budget there will be nothing wrong with the likes of these https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/DIRENZA-LOWERING-SPRINGS-SUSPENSION-40mm-OPEL-VAUXHALL-MANTA-B-ASCONA-B-B-CC/151520944257?epid=2185681113&hash=item23475a2081:g:FjUAAOSwQiRUlEnb

Is trimming the arch better or rolling it hoping the paint dont crack You also quoted on the previous post that u had to weld a adjuster to the pan..would I need to do this? Chris from Coventry will be taking on the work as i live in bham iv been recommended by Simon from Suffolk! Has any 1 tried those bolt on plastic Arches? If not, you can cheaply pick up a new or used original height replacement. Just make sure that you cut the coils in the same place as the original ones end (if that makes sense), so that you can locate in the spring 'cups' in the same way/positions.
