Mikejt26 Posted June 21, 2015 Posted June 21, 2015 Hi Scott Is this the same manta that was red then black ? It looks spectacular . I knew it would have been outside my budget when you had completed it ? Quote
taylorblue5 Posted June 22, 2015 Author Posted June 22, 2015 Yes Mike. It seems all the paint kept it in nice condition! Lol. Never know your luck Mike, make an offer if you like. Quote
Mikejt26 Posted June 22, 2015 Posted June 22, 2015 It would be nice to make an offer but I would not insult you with the offer I could go to Quote
Julian Posted July 4, 2015 Posted July 4, 2015 (edited) I wonder how many of us wished they could afford this car? Edited July 4, 2015 by Julian Quote

MANTAMAN Posted July 5, 2015 Posted July 5, 2015 OK that is NICE !!!! I'd have exclusive or silver alloys on this, but it does show that painting the door handle body colour makes a huge difference, no 'blob' of black interupting the white side Quote
taylorblue5 Posted July 5, 2015 Author Posted July 5, 2015 Wish I could afford it also to be honest lol. I painted the door handles and I also stone chipped the inner arch lips, sills, rear quarters and front panels to avoid any future corrosion issues. The underside has all been painted and the cavities rust proofed also. Quote

I can access all of the handle without removal? Quote
MANTAMAN Posted July 7, 2015 Posted July 7, 2015 Never tried it, but with carefull masking all around the area then it might be possible. When spraying the paint carefull attension would have to given to getting the paint up underneath and along the back of the top edge. I have always found the door handles a complete 'swine' to remove, the rear stud and nut being the one that is difficult to get at, perhaps i just have big fingers Quote
taylorblue5 Posted July 7, 2015 Author Posted July 7, 2015 The best option is to remove them Jack. Remove the door card etc and then you will see two 10mm bolts, one is obscured by the window runner so it's easier to remove it's bolts and slide it out the way. I wasn't ture how they would turn out but they look good. Quote
mantasrme Posted July 7, 2015 Posted July 7, 2015 You can get to the rear nut easily with a ratchet spanner. 1 Quote
taylorblue5 Posted July 19, 2015 Author Posted July 19, 2015 Car will be sold with a full MOT certificate. Quote
smiffy220 Posted July 22, 2015 Posted July 22, 2015 Only 2 months ago there were 2-3 forum users crying out for a car like this, with that budget. Have you gone through cars wanted section and pm'd those guys? Wish I had the cash too! 1 Quote
EzioGTE Posted July 23, 2015 Posted July 23, 2015 nice car, is it me or is the front right wheel a steel ? Quote
guysat Posted July 23, 2015 Posted July 23, 2015 (edited) nice car, is it me or is the front right wheel a steel ? Re-written as offended This is a very nice looking car, did it used to be Black as DVLA are listing it as colour Black ? The interior looks to be in very good condition Edited July 24, 2015 by guysat Quote
Snowy Posted July 24, 2015 Posted July 24, 2015 And DVLA still list the vehicle as 'Black' And the DVLA never get their records wrong or don't update them even when you request then to. What relevance has this to the car being for sale..... Great negative comment there for absolutely no reason at all. 2 Quote

Great negative comment there for absolutely no reason at all. unless you know the history of this car in detail this is a problem. When buying a car you are always urged to do the background checks, and car not being the colour the DVLA state it should be would set alarm bells ringing no reflection on the person selling this Manta, just the DVLA being the usual bunch of useless twerps !! 1 Quote
