Hi all, new member ,new project. in fact i saw the car on your website and could not resist .

she s an,a series, 72 and the last owner had dropped a 86 mk 1 carlton 2.2 injection engine with 5 speed box in to achieve more mpg, something i was keen to do myself ,sorry to those who dont agree with that type of thing, ive spent all my spare time this week playing round with her and should nt be to far off getting her running. I was hoping to quiz you lot on what i should expect with the diff as the last box was an auto rare they the same ratio , and if not what will it perform like?

Im also struggling for a few parts the heater matrix and housing is missing and throttle pedal ,the bottom bush in the steering column is badly worn, can u get new ones still, and boot rubber seal is worn. Any ideas?.

Off to santa pod this weekend camping at USC , which is next door to your meet place at billing , last time i camped there there where loads of toyota s meeting up, great venue , huge too. so if i dont reply till next week thats why.

Thanks for reading

Regards Martin.
