having a small issue with my fuel pump, it works fine, but gets noisy if the car is sitting ticking over after about 30 seconds, but if you drive, it's fine.. It sounds  like it's backing up the pressure or something..! I am running a c20xe on throttle body's with a fuel pressure valve at the end of the rail.. The fuel pump is at the back of the car on the under side. The pump is a standard one you would put in a Sri cavalier etc. I am on my 3rd pump and all 3 have done the same.. The power supply to the pump is just switched threw the ignition and is not on a relay. Not sure if that would effect it.. Anyone else have this problem..!!

thanks..

Did you clean the pipe coming out of the tank attached to the fuel sender - could be gunked up on the inside restricting the flow to the pump, or muck coming out of it blocking the little wire gauze in the pump..

Seeing your resto you probably already been there but just a thought.

If if there was a restriction on the fuel coming into the pump surely my engine would have fuel starvation up the revs, but she revs perfect up the revs eldoradocoupe..

my set up is just the pump and the filter brady. What's the other parts in the manta set up..!!

Just re-read actually, if it happens after sitting at idle - it sounds more likely a restriction in the return line.

Other part is the damper, never run without it myself but I've read many others on here say it doesn't make a difference.
