thx to all ;)

I saw that FWD engines have the oilsump at the rear of the engine,

is it a good idea to start with a FWD sump, oil pickup pipe and baffle plate ?

If i raise the heigth of the engine, would it fit without cutting the sump?

The FWD sump has the bowl at the back but the RWD sump has it at the front. See below.

RWD sump: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VAUXHALL-CARLTON-2-0-SUMP-IDEAL-XE-REAR-WHEEL-DRIVE-CONVERSION-OR-OTHER-/191630746197?hash=item2c9e152255:g:yLEAAOSwyQtVo8Dt

Or the FWD sump: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/170653211755?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

But what suits your application. Where is your crossmember?

Snowy,on the link you gave me for the fwd sump ,it was fittable with c16nz2 , in the link i have just posted it will fit with a c16nz, so i tought it was fitable on a c20ne or a x20xev

Ask the seller. I only know sumps that fit the 20NE, 20SE, 18S etc will fit.
