j4m1n
Just a heads up, this is the car I went to look at in Nov 2013. It was awful then, it's even worse now. It's a full resto job that's been badly patched up and it shows. I offered him 2K back but said it owed him too much. Avoid it you want a straight car. http://ebay.co.uk/itm/301867121475 I gave up on my hunt for a good A and bought a Firenza lol!
Rapierdave
I was interested in this car until the seller emailed me all the pics & it looked like it needs a lot of work to bring it up to £7500 value. Was it for sale in 2013 with the present owner ? Good A's never seem to come up for sale
j4m1n
He was up Huddersfield way, both him and his son had gas monkey t-shirts on lol. I'm guessing he's sold it on. It's Covered in underseal so bad you can't see the floor, chassis etc. It's like 5mm deep in places! Filler marks everywhere and the black paint was badly masked so runs and chips apparent. It wasn't restored, just bodged only 3 years ago. It really is mutton dressed as lamb. I bought this instead and I'm so glad I did!
Manta again
Thats a lot of bubbling on the paint work as the OP mentioned it just a poor patch up job, the rust will be bursting through in the next few years/ months. I was considering putting my A up for sale at that sort of price and mine had a bare metal respray,!
bris jas
Real shame when cars get bodged. Like the Firenza, just finished restoring my Snoot Edited February 9, 2016 by bris jas
j4m1n
Your snoot looks fantastic, been looking for a good one for years but either too expensive or full resto. Had to settle for a 1256cc lol. Seeing as I'm sticking a C20LET in it it would be a shame to ruin a snoot anyway. Yours is lovely.
moodoo
Thanks for the heads up about that A-series, that's useful information for anybody considering looking at it. Wow, 7.5k is a long way from what that car is really worth if it's in the condition you described!
