DiscoDave
Hi boys and girls, My 1972 Manta A, has no VIN plate, lost during restoration. Can anyone give me advice on what to do? I'm pretty sure I cant MOT it without it. Thanks in advance. Dave
rutts
Your car technically does not need a vin plate. Just need chassis number and number plate. if both are available and visible not a problem. New vin plates on german ebay for £30.
1900SR
As it's pre 1980 it doesn't have to have the chassis number displayed for MOT purposes, see here http://www.motuk.co.uk/manual_630.htm

rutts
If its been moted before and chassis number is on mot register then it must be visable. So the guy at ministry told me when doing my motor.
