If you are lucky the slices are still in the wire sleeves from the old scotch locks.  IIRC the law changed a while after these wee built so manufacturers could not use that kind of connector.  On mine I intend to run the wires through the inner wing above bulkhead / battery tray level.  It'll mean two holes and two grommets  and an inch or two loop in the engine bay but will remove (some) potential for footwells to leak in (hopefully)
