MANTAMAN Posted October 27, 2016 Share Posted October 27, 2016 I have had problems with these clips in the past, the gromits that plug into the backplate can pull through. I found two big bolts that had nuts large enough to go over the end of the handbrake cable. I cut a lengthwise slot in the bolt and cut it just long enough, with two washers i fitted this in place of the gromit. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

mantasrme Posted October 28, 2016 Share Posted October 28, 2016 I have a vague memory that the accelerator cable clip from a GT/e fits the handbrake cable to hold the end in place. I might be thinking of the wrong car of course, and i can't help with either clip i'm afraid. But thought i'd mention it in case you have some laying around.
