It looks like a GTE one to me?

Must of been a factory option to of had the opelsport steering wheel surely,a GTE steering wheel does not belong in a manta 400 that's for sure.

Mind you beggers can't be choosers as they say;)

Good job steering wheels are not painted steel grey, otherwise the shade of black could be in question...:D

Car looks good and as it would be from the factory - a nice example that is not messed about with and in the rarer Astro Silver. Original style headlamps and rear seat belts as per 400 road car spec.

Yep, steering wheel is GT/E and spot-on for a 400 road car from the factory - a lot have been changed over the years and Irmscher could probably have fitted a different wheel if the first owner wanted it but this one looks nice and standard.

Paint work does look a bit flaky around the VIN plate and it may have had a repair - trim under the headlights was often painted body colour on wide-body 400s as the ends are cut back to fit front arches. This one is black, so may have been changed or could have been like that from new - they were hand-assembled after all.

Only other difference is the gear lever, which is Monza style on this car - some cars seem to be like this but others have a lever knob shaped like the earlier 4-speed Manta B.

Should make someone a happy new owner...:)

I agree...a manta 400 is still just a manta that rots in all the usual places....

Strange that the bits with the data plates looks quite scruffy, bit of rust showing underneath. I have waxed & polished that bit since I got mine, (sportshatch, not Manta 400)

65,000 Euros (plus 17% fees)  with 15 minutes to run.

I thought it looked more like peeling lacquer around the data plates.

Yeh it looked like that to me too. Rare car! Wish it was mine. I would have to lower it though

Likewise on both counts! It does look a bit high at the rear. Looks lovely in silver.

Anyway, closed at 86,000 Euros. Quite a difference from the original 40K estimate.
