Monaco Blue
Would that be this one: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Opel-Manta-GTE/253577307165?hash=item3b0a62a41d:g:cCYAAOSwkVxa3J6H What a state it's in! Not so clever if it's been in there for 22 years with the window half up/down. Edited April 23, 2018 by Monaco Blue
opel2000
FPMSL even the sideskirts have rotted away Mind you those drivers seats in that condition are worth a fortune though I'm sure all Manta owners will be tearing his arms off to get to them 1
®evo03
Oh boy, thats fecked, Yeh, nice seats, are some skirts fibreglass? If so it does become porus, as does aluminium, which causes micro fracturing, Guess some barns are better than others! And finds! Why does someone leave it that long, surely in rhe early 90s it was worth 500 quid, is it worth anymore now?

There is a Renault 21 locked up in a garage just over the road from me, it has been there since 1986, only done just 2,000 miles, and the owner is running around in a £70.000 Discovery, the house where the car is is his but is rented out. and he won't let anyone near the car, and will not put it up for sale. Now I don't understand that.. It is a perfectly dry garage, built just for that car, some strange people about!!

What an interesting story, i do wonder myself about when people jut leave cars and then wont sell them, it is quite common though.

®evo03
Must be sentimental, or maybe too many memories held with them, i would love a manta ornament, just to show people what these cars could be really like, and to prove that its more than luck with a mint 40ish year old car is a bit more than......luck! Ive a perfect specimen, and its complete, my fear i would turn it into another project, would be better making a planter out of it! Perfect sized engine bay, for a flower bed. Knew of a mk1 escort with a tree in the boot, floor was gone, boot was open, 20 footer grew, well it was a bit of security for it, think the tree still stands, escort was pulled and broken with a tractor sorry site, 2 door too! Know of a mint allegro, bone dry, inch of dust, 30 years!
