I made both of my kick panels with 0.8mm sheet steel, drilled all holes and slots needed and got them powder coated black, then fitted the plastic service book holder on the passenger side one. Looks great.

Got a bit of a family problem at this time.

Looks like the garage will have to be turned into a room.

so manta will have to be sold when the paint is done

The Bandit (which l have had for 16 years) has now been sold ,gutted

Hi Wayne,

I'm truly sorry to hear this. Family must always come first though, above absolutely everything.

Fingers crossed, things work themselves out for you soon and you can find a way to keep the car you searched so long for.

All the best matey  :thumbup

Spraying looks so easy as well doesn't it, which of course it is for the Pro's - but to us mere mortals/amateurs, its very tough to get right. Top man for even trying it matey!

Just a though - something you could consider Wayne is lying them on their backs, so you have a much flatter surface to spray - would that help do you think?

Good luck regardless!

Good call on the lying wings flat lan.

When we had a body shop that’s how they painted the wings (on proper frame)

Sanded down the wings once flatted the paint not looking to bad on one ,some reaction on on the other wing

Had to much paint coming though the gun.

l think l have adjusted it correctly

This is the first time l have painted using a spray gun in 35 years
