We have painted it top to bottom to put into a customers colours. ANDY ABBOTT Posted December 26, 2020 Author Share Posted December 26, 2020 So with the car still in the body shop there's not much I can do on it at the moment. We are now in the process of moving businesses premises and I need to focus a lot of time into setting up our new workshop. I've spent the past week clearing out l the clutter, parts, tools benches etc... that was left in from the previous company. New 60ft commercial booth almost complete, just the shutter door, lights, heat, extraction etc... to install. We managed to jetwash and clean all the floors and get them painted on Xmas eve so should be nice and dry to start moving everything across next week. Tried to save the original infil panal. Tried the heat gun method to get the colour back, then scotch pad, adhesion promoter, plastic sealer and clear laqure. bris jas Posted January 17, 2021 Share Posted January 17, 2021 Does look good, paint looks nice as well. Back in the day the finish always had orange peel so i wouldn't go to mad flat and polishing. When i restored my GTE coupe i left the paint with orange peel (Not to heavy mind), ended up winning best paint in show at the 2019 Bristol classic car show.
