TheRealExile 454
The Wife can drive an Auto and I have a rather mint white bonnet shame about the roof but a good project for someone.
Mike. 784
What is it with Private Listing on e bay bids? I’m always wary of these??

It is not that you can see who is bidding anyway with most of their account blanked off.
1200bandit 411
Was looking at this, checked the bidding list as Jess has pointed out the listing looks a bit doggy
Mike. 784
MOT history available on line at DVLA up to 2008 when it was last in, tested and failed.
Mickfrad 209
Reached a good price if it did sell. Does this show the rise in Manta prices.
Mike. 784
I have a feeling it may appear on e bay again soon, I’m not sure it sold at that price. If it did sell genuinely, then I would agree, coupe project prices are on the rise. The roof alone would be a lot of work, and I think when stripping it the usual manta rust areas would need work too. would make a nice manta once done though and unusual being the auto, I would keep it that way and refrain from the 5 speed manual upgrade.
evo3000 523
Its not worth that kind of money ..however if someone wants to pay it then all well and good for mantakind.......... The End.....🤡 Edited November 28, 2020 by evo3000 1

Jessopia74 939
I do wonder if they buy it, then actually change their mind when they visually inspect it.🤔

Otherwise it would have ended at £4K or just over, anytime i see one end just below a round figure i am suspicious or people trying to push the sale price. Personally i always bid just over a round number because if the other bidder was dead on you win.

TheRealExile 454
I have had people win cars and then turn up trying to haggle, I always list every known fault to avoid this.... one bloke turned up with his 'mechanic' who tried to tell me the clutch was on its way out and wanted 200 quid off, I duly opened the boot to show him the packaging for the clutch I'd fitted 2 weeks back, he spluttered something about it must be his new boots making it feel a bit odd 🤣 2
Mike. 784
Missed this one second time round, did it sell this time? if so was the price more realistic?
Mickfrad 209
Not sure what happened I’m sure it had bids early on. Maybe he did a deal and ended it early.
Mike. 784
Is it going to pop up for a third time? 🤣
