Had a go at the front bumper again.

Bolt on the bumper brackets the to the chassis legs

Put studs on the bumper.Got the bumper on sort off the gap is a bit to big between the the front panel and the bumper.

The front bumper is jammed on the chassis legs and on the lower panel.

If l cut a bit of the bumper where it jammed on the chassis legs, hopefully the bumper will come up a bit more and make the gap smaller.

May have to fettle with the chassis brackets

Will have to relocate the running lights

Gap looks about right now without the trim piece.

What angle/height do the sides of the front air dam sit? Take a pic of the wing as the angle might be telling. Added a pic of mine on the Berlinetta as I know in this pic it’s factory. Look at the gap, not super clear, but there is one even with trim in place below nose cone/air dam .

That trim, was it fitted to all?

Some has it not fitted, or maybe it's another case of Opel, fitting it whilst it was available, maybe supply issues, or someone thought it didn't need it, not necessary, or technical issue, anything that is fixed and could cause injury removed.

Who knows?

Nice fix Bandit, looks grand, upsidedown🙃

Never seen one without it, unless it was lost or damaged. It’s bloody fragile. But poss they just ran out 💁

Think it has been removed. This manta is quite solid, but it’s been messed about very badly.

Its lots of small stuff, best way to describe it ( f##k it that will do)like when l found a lot of body filler around the battery tray, which l though was in good condition

Some times is very annoying that someone just cocked it up

So in the winter months will be doing some more work on the manta

Replace the radio, thermostat, inlet manifold, sort the wiring under the exhaust manifold, rear road springs.

Clean ,paint the rear suspension fuel pump housing and what else l find

Looking for some headliner just enough to cover the inner sun roof if anyone got a off cut kicking about ( just one more cock up got to correct)

Will post some photos of the headliner required to make more clear

I had to check it properly as it did not feel right, so glad that l pulled it apart before using it , will feel a lot better when the rear is checked
