No old school for the windows.

The kit was only £10.50 and very easy to fit .

l am going to take the dash out , and check the wiring out as it looks like it been cocked up at one time and to sort the wiring out for the radio, cigarette lighter.

Got the dash clock out this morning, found some wiring behind the clocks

Anyone what it for

Its the wiring for the optional front driving/fog lights. Rather than having to add it they put it in all looms, the forward ends are taped inside the loom infront of the radiator.

They need to have articulated joint on the lamp, if you dremmel the slot, the spring with a washer will keep it pressed into position. Lamp can't move enough in the housing, so all good

The house sale did not happen,so staying put. Will be doing some work on the house so the work on the manta will that a back seat for a bit

Have been trying to work out what is the best way to secure the bolts to the headlights.
Have tried a few things did not work

Got some brake pipe ,flattened it out and secured a nut to the brake pipe

It worked out okay, will secure the studs on the nuts when

Dont look very pretty but are solid on the brake pipe

What will be the length of the spring

If the is to much play in the adjustment studs will screw into the headlight brackets to remove the xs play

Try the switch or the loom connection, is it connected right way round, connections clean, think from memory there are two wires, that connect to main loom, around bulkhead area. Its either the switch, wiring or dash. U could power the dash to test bulb, and test switch. Look in haynes manual.

if you unplug the oil pressure sender plug from the loom ( if its still there) join both wires to earth. the light should be on and the guage should read zero.

if all ok suggests loose wire on sender unit.

if still not on suggests wiring to dash ,dash connector or bulb
